JOB DESCRIPTION

 

This position performs monitoring and measuring of ECR products and processes in the field as well as facility shops, they perform “I”, “V”, “G” Hold Points and Critical Coating Inspections on Naval, MSC, USCG, and/or Commercial Vessels. This position assists as the Department Hold Point Coordinator by taking “V”, “I”, “G” Hold Points for their respective job sites and directs them to and from the various customers and to our QA and Task leads on the deck-plates.  The training and experience requirements for this position are in accordance with the ASNT SNT-TC-1A Table 6.3.1 A.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

  1. Performs monitoring and measuring of products and processes in the field and facility shops.
  2. Perform “I”, “V”, “G” Hold Points and Critical Coating Inspections on Naval, MSC, USCG, and/or Commercial Vessels.
  3. Assists as Dept Hold Point Coordinator by taking “V”, “I”, “G” Hold Points for their respective job sites and directs them to and from the various customers and to our QA and Task leads on the deck-plates.
  4. Performs Nondestructive Inspection Methods (VT, PT, and MT) at the Level II as required.
  5. Assists the Divisions with deck-plate Subcontractor Control including Supplier facility visits.
  6. Researches customer specifications and drawings then generates inspection reports (tickets) for various project personnel to follow.
  7. Prepares QA required surveillance reports and documentation to provide objective quality evidence of the project work performed.
  8. Assists with internal and external audits. 
  9. Closes out all QA documentation (QA Work Packages) for customer review or audit when requested.
  10. Work directly with the Divisions, Departments, and Sites to revise their third tier procedures.
  11. Maintains established T&I Plans and is capable of establishing T&I Plans from specification and Standard Item requirements.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree preferred.
  2. QA NDT Inspector Level II certification.
  3. Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  4. Must have Microsoft Office Software experience.
  5. Knowledge of Microsoft Project a plus.
  6. Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2000
  7. Ability to pass drug test and background check.
  8. Ability to gain access to military installations.
