CVN Readiness Analyst, Sr
This position is Contingent Upon Contract Award
Purpose:
  • Valkyrie Enterprises has a need for a Hull Mechanical and Engineering (Nuclear Propulsion) Analyst who will be a key support to the CVN Carrier Availability Support Team, located in Norfolk, VA.
Job Description:
  • Collect, review, integrate and analyze CSMPs, CASREPs, INSURV, 0 visit reports and other data sources equipment reliability, maintenance.
  • Maintain in depth knowledge and facilitate CVN daily updates.
  • Maintain a comprehensive working references and standards.
  • Provide assessments to reduce areas of growth and new work.
  • Assists with development of metrics.
  • Perform applicable briefings with ships force representatives on applicable assessment and/or assist plan of action and results.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a BA/BS Degree in related field and at least 4 years of experience OR Associates and at least 8 years of experience OR HS Diploma or equivalent and at least 10 years of technical or operational experience.
  • Must have at least 8 years' experience with the following:
    • CVN availability planning and execution, CSMP management, work progress validation and scheduling.
    • Experience with work scheduling and integration tools such as Ship's Force Integrated Master Scheduling tool.
    • Experience with technical coordination of the following installed or proposed HM&E ship systems including repairs, alterations, assessments, inspections and casualty reports: auxiliary machinery and support equipment (except ALRE, propulsion plant machinery and boilers), hull and piping systems and cargo/weapons elevator systems.
    • Experience in technical support for the development and management of the non-nuclear CMP, BAWPs and modernization for execution during CVN availabilities. The contractor shall have a comprehensive knowledge of the current technical requirements, periodicities and associated configurations within each assigned CMP maintenance requirement to include integration of PMS Force Revisions.
    • Experience in the use of the Organizational Maintenance Management System - Next Generation (OMMS-NG).
  • Must have at least 3 years' experience in the use of the Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) Advanced Industrial Management (AIM) system for availability tracking and the knowledge of the NNSY shipyard shops.
  • Must have extensive experience in HM&E analytics.
  • Must have additional Nuclear Propulsion experience.
  • Must have experience in supporting the operation and maintenance of Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E), Auxiliaries or Nuclear Propulsion equipment on an Aircraft Carrier (CVN).
Security Requirements:
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional travel -less than 10%.
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000 per hour
