Planned Maintenance Engineering Technician

This position is considered to be a hybrid/remote position.

Purpose:

Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for an Planned Maintenance Engineering Technician who will be a key support to the Planned Maintenance System developing documentation for Navy boats and other vessels in the maritime industry using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).

Job Description:

Develop Planned Maintenance System (PMS) using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis performed by NAVSEA 04 RCM Level I or II Certified Developers.
Develop Maintenance Index Pages (MIPs) using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis performed by NAVSEA 04 RCM Level I or II Certified Developers.
Develop Maintenance Requirements Cards (MRCs) using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis performed by NAVSEA 04 RCM Level I or II Certified Developers.
Improve system reliability, enhance mission readiness, and reduce maintenance costs associated with their high value assets.
Apply a variety of reliability principles and tools to conduct analyses on critical assets in order to help develop preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
Review, validate, modify, enhance, and/or create maintenance plans and procedures, maintenance task lists, and task frequencies for equipment maintenance in a shipboard environment.
Submit products using the current approved PMSMIS 3.0 for HM&E ship systems.
Develop Class Maintenance Plan (CMP) tasks for HM&E ship systems.
Provide research, compilation, organization, and publication of technical data.
May be responsible for providing direction and peer training to incoming employees.

Qualifications:

Must have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years' experience for the operation, test, maintenance, and repair of Naval Ship HM&E, Electronic and Weapons Handling Systems and Equipment.
Must have at least 2 years' experience preparing technical documentation involving the operation, maintenance or testing of Naval Ship HM&E, Electronic and Weapons Handling Systems and Equipment.
Must have at least 2 years' experience developing PMS Maintenance Index Pages (MIPs) and Maintenance Requirements Cards (MRCs) using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis performed under an active NAVSEA 04 RCM Level I and/or II Certification.
Must have at least one (1) year experience developing technical documentation using either the Navy Publishing Application (NPA), the Navy PMS Editor (NPE) or equivalent.

Desired Qualifications:

Maintain ability to apply comprehensive knowledge and comprehension of technical drawings, test specifications, reports, naval messages, and equipment operating procedures to technical documentation in a straightforward and easily understood manner.
Must be able to follow applicable military specifications and best practices solutions.
Must possess excellent communication, writing, grammar, and customer service skills.
Must have a strong attention to detail with organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Security Requirements:

Must have an Active DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional Travel; 10% or less.
If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:

Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
Communicating with others to exchange information.
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Pay Range: $55,120 - $61,360 per year
