The role of the Subject Matter Expert (SME) 1-VIDS is to provide day-to-day support with experience in multimedia and audio/visual control and distribution systems projects which include the following, Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training. Recognized expert who has demonstrated industry and public service leadership in C41SR systems. This position reports directly to the VIDS Group in Chesapeake, VA.

Working with NIWC Atlantic and other technical codes, program/project managers, and SMEs, the Drafter/CAD Operator II will assist the CAD Supervisor in planning, testing, and integration of complex audio-visual displays, various communication and electronic warfare systems, related ancillary and computer-based systems onboard naval ships and command centers worldwide.

• We expect this employee to have experience working in or around industrial environments such as shipyards and Naval/Coast Guard bases and piers.

• One of these CERTIFICATIONS is required:
  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Sec+
  • CompTIA Net+
• AVIXIA (CTS, CTS-D or CTS-I) Certifications
• Must have valid driver's license
