Job Summary

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team and take responsibility for automating various processes and tasks within our Windows environment. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing efficiency, reducing manual effort, and improving overall system performance. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Ansible is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
*Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for Windows-based systems, applications, and infrastructure.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and define requirements.
*Create and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks, configuration management, system monitoring, and troubleshooting.
*Utilize Ansible to streamline the deployment, configuration, and management of Windows servers and applications.
*Participate in the design and implementation of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
*Conduct regular code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and optimize automation workflows.
*Stay up-to-date with emerging automation technologies, tools, and best practices.
*Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation-related issues.
*Document automation processes, procedures, and configurations.
Skills and Experience
*Proven work experience as an Automation Engineer in a Windows environment.
*Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack.
*Proficiency in scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
*Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, SVN, or TFS.
*Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools, such as Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
*Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and related technologies.
*Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools, such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
*Solid understanding of networking, TCP/IP, DNS, and other protocols.
*Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
*Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
*Microsoft certifications, such as MCSE or MCSA.
*Experience with other scripting languages, such as Python or Ruby.
*Knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
*Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as Azure or AWS.
*Understanding of containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes.

Location
This position is remote for residents of AL, DE, FL, GA, ID, IN, KS, LA, ME, MD, MN, NC, NE, NH, ND, NV, OK, OH, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WV, WI and WY.
