Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring a Mobility Tech to work at Sentara Leigh Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit.

Hours/Shift: Flexi, 4 hours per week

Department/Position Overview:

We are looking for candidates with compassion and great communication skills to work in this fast-paced environment with our most critical patients. Work alongside our experienced Patient Care Techs and RNs to help ambulate patients. Excellent customer service skills are needed to work closely with patients and their family members.

The Mobility Technician is responsible for assisting clinical staff and members of the interprofessional healthcare team, as assigned, under the direct supervision of clinical staff within an inpatient setting. This position performs delegated activities that include but are not limited to patient mobility, infection control processes, assisting patients in practicing exercises or functional activities, transporting patients to and from treatment areas, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and a variety of basic clerical functions supporting clinical staff in successful provision of treatment plans.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
