Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Compliance Manager-Regional

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location:

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).

Position Summary:

Responsibilities of the Regional Compliance Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as strategic interface & advisor between Corporate Compliance and assigned business units & executive leadership. Cultivates strong relationships with business partners to drive key corporate compliance & audit initiatives across the health system.
  • Compliance confidential disclosure support including leading compliance investigations.
  • Lead compliance audits to facilitate an efficient audit process & help improve people, processes, and systems. Assist management with the review of and response to audit findings & recommendations, ensuring that responses are accurate, comprehensive, and accurately reflect the organization's position. Assist management in developing strategies for effective and efficient implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Assist with preparing Audit & Compliance Committee presentations & other executive management and Sentara Board materials.
  • Prepare and conduct compliance training as needed.
  • Support development & review of compliance policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors Level Degree: Acctg, Nursing or Bus Admin/Management
  • 3 years Auditing
  • 3 years Health Care Compliance
  • 1 year Management
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Certified Internal Auditor
  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance
  • Registered Nurse
  • Certified Healthcare Compliance professional
