System-wide Traveler: Expansive Benefit Package, Flexible Permanent Full-time Hours, Premium Pay, and Differentials


Full-Time Permanent position~ Benefits ~ Premium Pay (this is not a temporary contract)

$15-$20 more per hour based on specialty vs working at one hospital

6-12 week assignmentsSeeking RNs with the ability to travel to all 12 Sentarahospitals based on greatest need including:Southside and Peninsula Hampton Roads, Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Halifax, and Albemarle (NC)

For assignments greater than 75 miles from home:

*block scheduling (home in between weekly blocks)

*meal reimbursement

*lodging provided

*pay for travel time

*rental car or mileage reimbursement

*earn hotel and rental points


We are currently seeking RNs witha minimum of 2 years of recent experience in one specific specialty, rotating shifts.

Several specialty pools to choose from such as IMCU/Stepdown, ICU, ED, LDRP, Behavioral Health, Med/Surg, OR, PACU, Endo, and Cath Lab.

Minimum Requirements:

*Valid RN license

*2 years of consecutive recent RN experience for the past 2 years in one specific specialty such as Behavioral Health, ED or Emergency Department, Intensive Care/ICU or Critical Care/CCU, Intermediate Care/IMC or Stepdown, Medical or Surgical or Med/Surg, LDRP or Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, Mother/Baby or Postpartum, Labor and Delivery, PACU, Endoscopy, OR or Operating Room, Cath Lab

Job Summary

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

BSN or MSN preferred. New Hire Education Requirement: All new RNs who do not have their BSN will be required to sign a BSN Agreement committing to enrollment in an accredited RN to BSN program within 24 months of hire and successfully obtaining their BSN within 5 years of hire. Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty; Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire; Emergency Care - ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire; Oncology Care ONS/ONCC or Sentara approved course Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire. Women's Care - Perinatal departments; NRP within 6 months of hire. Inpatient Pediatrics. PALS within 6 months of hire. All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications:

N-2YR - RN-Associate's Degree (Required), N-3YR - RN-Diploma (Non-degree) (Required), N-4YR - RN-Bachelor's Level Degree (Required), N-6YR - RN-Master's Level Degree (Required), N-DN - RN-Doctorate Level Degree
