Description

Position Summary: Under occasional supervision, services customers through opening and updating accounts, selling and cross-selling bank products and services. Work requires performing teller duties when needed. Work requires the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and strict adherence to established policies and procedures to maintain branch security.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs all duties related to opening, processing, and updating of customer transaction accounts.

  • Provides excellent customer service assisting, responding to, and resolving internal and external customer inquiries.

  • Uses opportunities wisely to promote the bank, sell and cross-sell bank products and services.

  • Generates and maintains assigned files, records, and reports.

  • Maintains branch safe deposit boxes and records.

  • Serves as back-up teller performing teller duties when required.

  • Assists branch officer with branch operations through the performance of assigned duties and projects, and the generation and maintenance of various reports.

  • Attends required meetings and training.

  • Adheres to SAFE Act requirements when acting as an (MLO) mortgage loan originator, if applicable.

  • Performs all work in compliance with applicable regulations/policies and procedures.

  • Accountable for the understanding of and adherence to operational controls, policies, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with bank policies and related laws and regulations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities):

  • Ability to operate a personal computer.
  • Basic knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED and 6 - 12 months of experience in banking as a Teller or Personal Banker or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
