Job Description
Printpack Inc is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Maintenance Manager. This position is located in Williamsburg, VA. and will report to the Plant Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing improvements in equipment efficiencies and optimization which translate directly to increased quality and customer satisfaction. How you will contribute: Your day to day

  • Effectively manage the Safety, Quality, and Productivity requirements of the equipment and facility in order to meet department and plant goals.

  • Coordinate and manage annual department budget.

  • Perform daily walks within the plant to observe/adjust safety, quality, and productivity issues impacting plant performance.

  • Operate department with a mindset to meet or exceed customer expectations.

  • Foster an atmosphere of trust, respect, and teamwork that encourages associates to continuously improve our company.

  • Lead, mentor, and coach the team to encourage and enable associates.

  • Drive diversity and inclusion across business units and functions.

  • Be a guardian of Printpack culture, resources, and assets.

  • Manage the Preventive Maintenance program and support Daily Team Maintenance initiatives.

  • Oversee maintenance associates in a manner that promotes engagement where individuals are valued and empowered.

  • Demonstrate and lead associates in a commitment to safe behavior and to making the plant a safer place to work. Support and drive hazard identification, risk assessments, risk control efforts and maintain compliance on all corporate policies and procedures.

  • Perform department leadership duties such as timekeeping, performance reviews, discipline, and training and development activities.

  • Manage work order system with a special emphasis on safety work orders.

  • Manage capital and expense projects related to new equipment and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will need:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma and related experience (BS degree in Engineering preferred)

  • Five (5) years in Operations (maintenance leadership preferred)

What would put you ahead:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience working with and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles including Preventive Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance, and Predictive Maintenance.

  • Capital Project Management experience

  • Plant or Process Engineering experience

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for Preventive Maintenance, Purchase Requisitions, Work Order tracking, and Inventory Management.

  • Knowledge of electrical safety.
