Overview

SRR Avionics/Electrical Systems Technical Publications Analyst

Location: Elizabeth City, NC

Clearance: Active Secret

Provide the USCG Air Logistics Center Short Range Recovery (SRR) Division with avionics and electrical research and be responsible for generating, updating and providing quality assurance support for engineering source documents, prototype installation documents, maintenance and operational procedures, training documentation and all related technical publications utilized for logistics support of the SRR aircraft modification programs and related sustainment.

Responsibilities

* Develop wiring diagrams, manufacturing drawings, illustrated parts catalogs, maintenance manuals, maintenance procedure and technical order documents, and training materials.

* Provide updates to existing manuals, technical information and all related maintenance and support publications. of open communication with the SRR Engineering Officer, Production Floor, IOD, ESD, BOD and other stakeholders must be maintained.

Qualifications

Required:

* Minimum of ten (10) years of avionics and electrical system experience on USCG or DOD aircraft. Relevant experience shall be identified as experience obtained within fifteen (15) years of solicitation release date.

* Ten (10) years practical experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting avionics and aircraft electrical systems is desired.

* Ten (10) years' experience in interpreting avionics, wiring, and electrical diagrams and structural/mechanical drawings is desired.

* Experience with H-65 technical publications is desired.

* Proficient in identifying, locating and researching USCG or equivalent DHS/DOD, Federal, and industry technical publications, process guides, manuals, instructions and related guidance and instructional documentation necessary for modification, testing, certification and sustainment of SRR aircraft.

* Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite programs: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and know how to use these tools for communication and suitable presentations of research results and recommendations.

* Possess a SECRET security clearance.

Preferred:

* Experience in USCG aviation avionics maintenance support activities is desired.

* Experience in the development and review of aircraft logic and wiring drawings is desired.

* Experience in technical publication development for engineering, prototype installation and maintenance support, including wiring diagrams, manufacturing drawings, illustrated parts catalogs, maintenance procedure and technical order documents, and training material is desired.

* Experience in USCG or DOD maintenance practices and procedures development is desired.
