For applicants within Maryland, Nevada, Ohio and Washington States, the following hiring range will be applied: $125,174.40 - $172,744.00 with a target hiring range of $125,174.40 to $143,956.80.

Job Summary:

The Program Director will be a critical role for the Sentara Health Plan PMO to lead large complex initiatives for the organization.

The Program Director is responsible for the overall management of their assigned Program(s) which will consist of multiple related Projects. The Program Director will work with the Business and IT leads, and Project Director to drive component project intake as well as program delivery.

To support these activities, will work closely with Sentara Health employees and contractors to ensure quality completion of business requirements, scope, end user impact, Program dependencies, financials and transition to operations activities for the Service Line.

Program Director is responsible for researching, planning, developing and implementing an organization's programs.

Initiate and set goals for programs based on the organization's strategic objectives. Plan programs from start to finish, including identifying processes, deadlines and milestones.

A critical element of the Program Director lead programs and projects role will be lead Project Delivery excellence. May lead a team of Program and Project Mangers (may be internal FTE or purchased labor PM staff).

Provides advice, counsel, and insight to PMs on how to more effectively lead projects to completion.

Job Requirements:

  • 10 years of related experience in lieu of degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required within 1 year of hire
