VTG is seeking a Technical Solutions Developer to support our Virginia Beach location.

The Technical Solutions Developer serves as the critical link between our project management requirements and the capabilities of QuickBase, a leading no-code application development platform. This role requires a thorough understanding of technical drawings and the ability to leverage QuickBase to optimize project and material management processes.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Drawing Analysis and Interpretation: Utilize a deep understanding of technical drawings to assist with material requirements, review drawings for compliance, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project specifications.
• QuickBase Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain custom QuickBase applications that support project management, including forms, workflows, reports, and dashboards.
• Material Management: Coordinate with procurement to specify and acquire necessary materials, develop kitting plans, and maintain consumables lists, ensuring all components are available for projects.
• Data Management and Integration: Manage project and material data within QuickBase through accurate data imports, exports, and integrations, ensuring a seamless flow of information.
• System Administration and User Support: Perform system administration tasks within QuickBase, such as user management, role configuration, and setting security permissions. Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to users.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Conduct thorough testing of QuickBase applications to identify and rectify any discrepancies, ensuring adherence to project requirements and best practices.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Project Managers, Engineers, and Resource Managers, to ensure that QuickBase applications align with organizational goals and project specifications.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical roles related to project management and material planning.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering, mechanical, and structural drawings.
• Solid experience with QuickBase, including application development and system administration.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to identify potential issues in technical drawings and processes.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with CAD software and database management systems.
