Description

We are currently seeking an Account Manager to support the Mid-Atlantic region for our Materials Analysis group to join our team! The ideal candidate will reside in the NC/VA region of the United States.


Responsibilities:

  • Conveying the value of Rigaku instruments and technology effectively.
  • Assessing prospective customers' needs to determine their instrumentation requirements.
  • Regularly engaging with existing and potential customers both in-person and virtually.
  • Organizing and hosting visits for potential customers to Rigaku offices, where product demonstrations will be conducted by dedicated applications scientists.
  • Assisting and advising customers throughout the grant application, evaluation, and procurement processes.
  • Preparing responses to bids and tenders.
  • Negotiating final contract terms, including price, warranty, delivery, and conditions.
  • Achieving sales targets and expanding sales through prospecting for new customers, capturing competitors' customers, and retaining Rigaku customers.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as the Salesforce.com CRM database.
  • Demonstrating self-motivation and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Possessing an outgoing personality, a positive attitude, and a robust work ethic.
  • Any other task as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of X-ray Diffraction (XRD), X-ray Fluorescence (XRF), X-ray Computed Tomography (XCT) instruments desired.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, preparation and presentation skills.
  • Sales experience preferred but not essential.
  • B.S. in a Scientific discipline minimum.
  • The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of sales experience. Sales experience within the scientific instrument industry is ideal.
