We are seeking a Marketing Coordinator who is passionate about driving change and making an impact in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry. General responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Create, edit, produce, and maintain well-written and graphically sophisticated content with a developed strategy for marketing materials including proposals, statements of qualifications, award submittals, presentations, marketing collateral, handouts, and promotional materials in support of company and market sector specific annual strategic planning
  • Collaborate with the communications team for market-specific communications needs such as email marketing, social media, news, and blog content, etc.
  • Proactively coordinate with marketing and technical staff to create and update master descriptions for projects; interview technical staff concerning project details; draft content; collect photography for projects, personnel, and collateral material; and collaborate with technical and marketing staff to ensure content accuracy
  • Coordinate with other marketing and technical staff to create and maintain up-to-date, personnel resumes
  • Support capture planning and proposal efforts
  • Assist in marketing and business development research efforts
  • Assist the CRM Manager and marketing team in maintaining the CRM database including maintenance of opportunities, projects, clients, and contacts
  • Assist with proofreading proposals and other marketing content for strategy, compliance, and grammar
  • Communicate and distribute approved internal marketing and business development information
  • Provide printing, production, assembly, and delivery support of marketing materials
  • Support outreach efforts such as client events, white paper or presentation development, tradeshow/conference participation and public relations efforts as needed
  • Extensive writing and frequent communication via phone, email, and in person with co-workers, clients, and subconsultants
  • Represent the marketing department internally, as well as externally through professional organizations and through consultant teaming interactions
  • Order and track inventory of proposal supplies and promotional items
  • Perform any other assignments or tasks as needed or requested by management to assist in accomplishing the organization's mission, objectives, and goals.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Education, Technology, and Experience

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Creative Writing, Business, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience recommended, but not required
  • Without a degree, 2-5 years of relevant professional or internship experience in the A/E/C industry required
  • Effectively utilize current company software programs for word processing, e-mail, and information management. Programs include:
    • MS Word
    • MS Excel
    • MS Outlook
    • MS PowerPoint
    • Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent CRM software
    • Experience in the use of the following programs is desirable:
    • Adobe InDesign
    • Adobe Photoshop
    • Adobe Acrobat
    • Open Asset
  • Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) may be given additional consideration
  • Experience in the development of proposals in the SF330, SF 254/255, and Virginia AE format may be given additional consideration
  • A Marketing Coordinator will typically have professional or internship experience in related service marketing, business development, or public relations roles. Experience in the A/E/C industry may be given additional consideration

Physical Requirements
Work is sedentary and often performed in an office setting. The work area is lighted, heated, and ventilated. This position may require extended periods of standing, sitting, as well as some repetitive movements, bending and lifting of minimal weight. Workplace Flexibility
We have selected two common days in the office to nurture collaboration and innovation and to support learning and growth through engagement with colleagues. We are asking everyone to be present on Mondays and Thursdays, with a required third day that will provide additional flexibility and be set between you and your supervisor (with consideration given to your project team members and clients). Our hope is that this schedule will offer the work-life balance that is desired by all, while providing consistent opportunities for face-to-face collaboration and mentorship.
