Responsibilities include:
- Plan, organize, and manage work for Electrical mechanics.
- Ensure safe work conditions and adherence to safety requirements/regulations.
- Ensure construction schedule adherence and cost accounting.
- Ensure first time quality of all work accomplished.
- Assign, status, and manage work orders; coordinate operational schedules.
- Understand, support, and administer the union labor contract.
- Communicate with fellow supervisors to help achieve a smooth work flow and a high degree of productivity.
- Use electronic Time Accounting System (WFM) to maintain employees time, overtime, and work order charges on a daily basis.
High School Diploma or GED required Graduate apprentice preferred.
Previous electrical/technical schooling preferred.
Required:
- Solid understanding of shipbuilding and/or manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work history of positive working relationships with peers.
Preferred:
- At least two years of Marine Electrical experience.
- Previous supervisory experience in a production environment.
- Understanding of MACPAC system.
