Lead Financial Analyst

What you will do


Under the general direction of the Director of Financial Operations, our Lead Financial Analyst is responsible for providing in-depth financial planning, accounting and business analysis related to the Corporate Function Finance support.

Must be able to effectively and professionally work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The primary duties of this role will be to lead the financial and analytical processes for Corporate departments at Johnson Controls.

This is a hybrid role that will work 3 days/week in the Glendale, WI office.

How you will do it

  • Prepares monthly Corporate function financial statements.

  • Prepares annual operating budgets and capital budgets for Corporate functions.

  • Prepares monthly outlook for Corporate functions.

  • Leads analysis for Corporate functions to identify and understand financial trends.

  • Leads analysis of operational results compared to plan and forecast.

  • Partner with Corporate function leaders to adhere to plan/forecast.

  • Partner with business segments to resolve intercompany variances.

  • Maintains effective internal controls for all assigned responsibilities.

  • Provides leadership and support to other COE Finance team members as needed.

  • Assists with special projects and analysis as directed.

What we look for

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or finance.

  • Minimum of 6 years of work experience in private and/or public accounting.

  • CPA or MBA preferred

  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, with ability to adapt to changing environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer focused approach.

  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and a drive to achieve both short and long term results.

  • Ability to work well independently and in team setting.

  • Proven track record of delivering results required

  • Ability to meet firm deadlines.

  • Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks and projects.

  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word skills required

  • SAP/OneStream experience preferred

  • Exhibits professional demeanor and emotional maturity
